Volunteers - Support your PTO's Biggest Fund Raiser

Please volunteer!

We are very short adult volunteers for the 6:30-9:00PM shift on Friday night, February 23rd, and also for the Bag Sale/Tear Down shifts on Saturday, February 24th

We need adults to help manage the peak of the sale – we have less than 10 volunteers for this shift currently.  We also need adults during the bag sale and tear down on Saturday.

If you cannot stay the whole shift, come for an hour – just note it on the sign-up genius.  There are a lot of logistics to manage during the sale, so if you’re coming to help, please sign up so that we can plan for you!  This is the largest fundraiser for the High School and it takes a lot of hands to make it successful.  Please consider joining us!

The sale is dependent on volunteers like you to help collect and process 80,000 books in late January and February.  There are many ways you can help, including volunteers to drive students on pick-up day, sort books, price books, setup the gym, cashier, cleanup or many other roles.  Please help, even if it’s just for an hour or two.

Adult Volunteers

Adults may sign up to be a volunteer at our Adult Volunteer SignUp Genius Site.

The SignUp Genius site contains several activities for which you can volunteer.  They include the unloading (after neighborhood collection) on Saturday January 20th, book processing (sorting and pricing) on various dates and times between January 20th and February 20th, and finally the set-up and sale. Please visit the SignUp to pick a role that you would like and a time slot that works for you. Then bring a friend! Or a spouse! Our fundraising efforts really depends on your support!

All volunteers must register at the Security window in the main office.

Student Volunteers

Student volunteers will be needed as drivers and collectors for pre-defined routes on neighborhood collection day (January 20th). We will also need students to unload cars as they arrive at the high school. You can signup for these roles on the Student Volunteer SignUp Genius Site

Volunteer opportunities for students will also be available after school hours and weekends (sorting and pricing).  Please check the sign-up sheet which will be located outside the Cafeteria LGI.

Your help is needed and appreciated

The Used Book Sale is UHS PTO's primary fund raiser and allows the PTO to support Enrichment Projects throughout the high school to enhance the educational experience of our students. For examples of Enrichment Projects, please see "Our Event".

Thank YOU! The UHS Book Sale would not succeed without YOUR generous volunteer support.
